We are the San Diego Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI), a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing networking, education, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for women who are striving for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.
Our San Diego chapter has over 60 members including private, charter, corporate, airline and military pilots; student pilots and flight instructors; aerospace engineers; airport managers and General Aviation business staff; flight attendants; air traffic controllers; and aviation enthusiasts. We focus on networking, career development and mentoring, fun events and tours, and are huge supporters of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Our 4th annual Girls in Aviation Day was held on October 13, 2018 at the San Diego International Airport. Click on the "Girls in Aviation Day" tab to see more!
We are thrilled to feature Paris Krula as our Member of the Month. Paris started her new job on Feb 1st as Assistant Airport Manager for KSEE Gillespie Field (and three additional "desert fields"). Paris is a longtime member of our chapter and is one of our Outreach Committee Co-Chairs. She is also a 2Lt in the Air Force Reserves, managing a fleet of Boeing C-17 and KC-135 refueling aircraft.
