We are the San Diego Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI), a nonprofit 501c3 organization dedicated to providing networking, education, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for women who are striving for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.
Our San Diego chapter has over 70 members including private, charter, corporate, airline and military pilots; student pilots and flight instructors; aerospace engineers; airport managers and General Aviation business staff; flight attendants; air traffic controllers; and aviation enthusiasts. We focus on networking, career development and mentoring, fun events and tours, and are huge supporters of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Our 5th annual Girls in Aviation Day was held on October 5-6, 2019 on the USS Midway. The museum hosted 200 girls between the ages of 8 to 17 on a specially tailored, aviation-themed Youth Overnight Program. Click on the "Girls in Aviation Day" tab to see more!
