We are the San Diego Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI), a nonprofit 501c(3) organization dedicated to providing networking, education, mentoring and scholarship opportunities for women who are striving for challenging and fulfilling careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.

Our San Diego chapter has over 60 members including private, charter, corporate, airline and military pilots; student pilots and flight instructors; aerospace engineers; airport managers and General Aviation business staff; flight attendants; air traffic controllers; and aviation enthusiasts. We focus on networking, career development and mentoring, fun events and tours, and are huge supporters of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Bibianna Saldivar-Monge has been a member of WAI San Diego for about one year. She is a 13 year old honor roll student taking flying
lessons! Her goal is to earn her private pilot license when she turns 17. Bibianna hopes to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University after graduating from high school. Her dream is to work for a major airline as a commercial pilot. Bibianna said that after taking her discovery flight, she knew this is what she wanted to do.
